🎉 The Role

The Designer and Researcher will play a role in shaping the future of the Maestro System and its Ecosystem, working at the intersection of design, technology, and user experience. This individual will contribute to the research and design user-centered solutions that enhance the surgical team's interaction with Maestro and its Ecosystem products. They will collaborate closely with Product, Development, and Clinical Engineering, ensuring that our products meet high standards of usability, safety, and effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct user research, including observations, interviews, surveys, and usability studies, to gain insights into surgeons' and surgical staff's needs and experiences.
• Translate research findings into actionable design solutions, developing user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for new features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to ensure design concepts are feasible and aligned with technical constraints and company goals.
• Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through to launch, providing design and research expertise at every stage.
• Develop and maintain design and research documentation, including user personas, journey maps, and design specifications.
• Analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

How You’ll Fit In:

You will report to the Director of Product Management and work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams. You will focus primarily on developing complementary apps/dashboards, researching new feature concepts, and supporting the evolution of the Maestro GUI.

🧭 Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Proven experience in design and research roles, ideally within the medical device or healthcare technology sectors.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, UX/UI design, and prototyping tools (e.g., Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma).
