π The Role
Your Core Responsibilities
As Sales Operations Analyst at Moon Surgical, your primary job is to make sure the commercial leadership team always has a clear, accurate, and granular read on how the business is performing β and to keep digging until the data tells a coherent story. You will build and maintain the dashboards, models, and reports that feed the Global CCO and the broader commercial team β and you will develop, articulate, and defend the analytical positions behind them. You will run the territory design, quota setting, and segmentation and targeting process, and partner with commercial leadership and Finance on forecasting and business planning. Beyond the analytical core, you will support the day-to-day operations of the commercial function: administering sales compensation calculations, maintaining our Salesforce.com environment in coordination with our implementation partner, and supporting the commercial process work that keeps deals moving. This is a hands-on and highly analytical role requiring a keen understanding of sales concepts and the ability to build meaningful working relationships with multiple business partners, including senior sales leaders.
Your Day-to-day Activities
No two weeks will look identical, but data will be at the center of most of them. Here is what you can expect to spend your time on:
Commercial Analytics & Reporting
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve the global commercial dashboard β covering US, OUS, and indirect market performance β so leadership always has a current, reliable read on the business
- Monitor and report on sales performance; prepare analyses for regular leadership reviews including weekly sales reporting and quarterly leadership packages
- Use internal data (procedure volumes, surgeon training activity, deals pipeline) and external data (market sizing, working days) to develop, articulate, and defend analytical positions
- Provide detailed and actionable analysis to the sales organization to drive performance β not just reporting what happened, but recommending what should happen next
- Build and maintain sales leaderboards and rep-level performance tracking tools for US and OUS commercial teams
- Produce the investor-facing commercial KPI package in coordination with the CEO and Finance; ensure data accuracy and consistency across all executive reporting
- Prioritize ad hoc data requests from commercial leadership and deliver against stakeholder expectations
Forecasting & Business Planning
- Partner with commercial leadership and Finance to support the quarterly and annual forecasting process; build and maintain models that translate pipeline data into credible revenue projections
- Contribute to annual and mid-year business planning exercises, providing the analytical foundation for commercial targets, resource allocation decisions, and go-to-market adjustments
CRM & Data Infrastructure
- Maintain data quality and process discipline in Salesforce.com
- Coordinate day-to-day Salesforce.com work with our implementation and administration partner, serving as the internal point of contact for enhancements, bug fixes, and user support
- Ensure that rep-facing Salesforce.com workflows support accurate and timely data entry; work with the field to improve adoption where gaps exist
Territory Design & Sales Compensation Administration
- Support territory planning, quota allocation, and commercial segmentation exercises to optimize sales coverage and resource allocation,
- Administer quarterly commission calculations for US and OUS commercial roles in coordination with our external commercial operations partner, which handles primary calculation execution; validate outputs and flag discrepancies
- Support indirect market and distributor payment tracking as the OUS business develops
Commercial Operations Support
- Support the end-to-end commercial process for new opportunities
- Support billing and invoicing process improvement in partnership with Finance
- Contribute to cross-functional process improvement projects where analytical input or structured documentation is needed
How Youβll Fit In
You will report to the Global CCO as your primary stakeholder, collaborate regularly with Finance and the CEOβs Revenue Operations function, and coordinate with our external commercial operations partners on compensation execution and ongoing process projects.
π§ Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
- 2β4 years of demonstrated progressive experience in business performance analysis, sales operations, or sales force effectiveness; medical device or life sciences exposure is a strong plus but not required
- Masterβs degree in science, economics, finance, business, or a related discipline
- Genuinely strong analytical skills β you are comfortable building models and dashboards from scratch, working with messy data, and deriving clear conclusions from complex inputs; advanced Excel proficiency is essential
- Commercial curiosity and business acumen: you do not just run the numbers, you want to understand what they mean for the business and the team
- Salesforce.com experience at the user level, with an understanding of how data flows through the system and how to maintain data quality; experience coordinating with administrators or implementation partners is a plus
- Highly organized and detail-oriented β compensation administration and investor reporting leave no room for errors, and you hold yourself to a high standard of accuracy
- Ability to support and prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Clear, confident communicator in English and French; you will be interfacing with a global commercial team and producing outputs that go to the CEO and board
